AAM – School Memories

Since we are right in the middle of going back to school, I thought this would be the perfect time to honor our childhood school memories. Do you have any memories from school that have stayed with you for a lifetime? Good, Bad or indifferent. I would guess that the statute of limitations would be expired if it was a prank or something like that!! Maybe a favorite teacher that inspired you, a favorite sports memory, or homework assignment. I hope the examples from our Creative Team will inspire you to document your school memories.

Our first example is from Linda (earlofoxford) . She tells the story of the teacher that inspired her to become a teacher. I’m so happy that she has a photo to document this amazing person. Her title work and the splatter stroke with the pen is simply brilliant!!

Linda’s supplies include:Book Bag Days Monochromatics Paper Pack ,Splatters No. 05 Brushes and Stamps {coming soon}, Book Bag Days Back-to-School Scrapbook Kit
Artsy Splatter Strokes No. 01 Brushes and Stamps {coming soon}, Notebook Edge Frames No. 04, Book Bag Days Linen Buttons, Drop Shadow Styles No. 02Readymade Tall Strips: School No. 01, DoubleD Doodles: School No. 01

Our next example is from Debi (beehive50) she shares with us her most exciting honor of playing volleyball for UCLA! WOW……that is so very cool. I am so glad that she found the photos to create this page and now has it down on paper so everyone can enjoy her excitement of being on the team! And YAY to Debi’s Mom for all her encouragement! Do you think this has anything to do with her daughter’s  Shannon’s love for volleyball???1972-me-ucla-vb-12Debi’s list of supplies include: Marlow Solids Paper Pack, Typed and Scripted Brushes and Stamps No. 03Thin Classic Photo Frames Curled and Flat No. 01Classic Side Lift Storyboard Photo Frames No. 01Inked Arrows Brushes and Stamps No. 01Flair Mini Sports, Flair Minis No. 01Father Word Art Brushes and Stamps

Our final example is a memory from my (blkcow) childhood. I started Kindergarten when I was 2 weeks shy of turning 5…..I really feel that it affected me throughout my life. Looking back I just can’t figure out why my parents didn’t wait another year until I was older and more mature. I made it work, but it wasn’t pretty. And yes, I was the last one in my class to get their drivers license…..and that caused me lots of stress.

My supplies include: Coming Soon **Splatters No 5**, Book Bag Days Back-to-School Scrapbooking Collection, First Grade Brushes and Stamps, Apple Cider Mini Kit, Lesson Book Clusters, Carte Post Kit, Scrap Express No. 193, Readymade Borders: School No. 01.

Thanks so much to Creative Team members Linda and Debi for sharing their school memories. I hope we have inspired you to share yours! Be sure to post your pages in the  AAM Gallery. Don’t forget that all pages posted for the challenge, and using 100% Designer Digitals products will be eligible for the rewards program, so be sure and keep track of that in the August Challenge Thread. I can’t wait to see your school memories!!

These are all terrific layouts! I want to scraplift all of them. 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration! AAM ideas are my favorites because I’m trying to capture a lot of my memories and history for my children, knowing how much I treasure the stories I’ve gleaned from my own parents. I love this series. Keep them coming!

I am so glad that you are enjoying the AAM series Stacia…….I really think that sometimes the scrap booker focuses on everybody but themselves……..and I know our descendants want to know about us too! I hope to see a page from you in the Gallery 🙂
