Hello all and Happy Wednesday! Today we have a new challenge for you and it has to do with winter. A lot of people dread the thought of winter because it means cold temps and lots of snow. Other’s love winter because it means cold temps and lots of snow. ;O) Well, today we are going to concentrate on the “sunny” side of winter. Your challenge is to scrap a page about a “winter favorite” (or favorites). It could be anything that makes your heart sing in the winter: a favorite winter activity, a favorite sweater, a favorite winter dish, or even that cold white stuff.
I have 3 wonderful pages created by our creative team members to help get the ball rolling. (I didn’t say snowball, but I might have thought it.) :O)
Liz has scrapped a beautiful page about “winter pearls.” Winter has a way of transforming the ordinary into extraordinary sometimes.
Liz used these products when creating her page: Bare Branches No.1, Silver Basics Paper Pack no. 2, Chippery Paper Pack No. 1, silver Essentials No.1, December Woods Scrapbook Collection, Red Black and creme Kit, File Label Sentiments No.1, Wooden Flakes No.2, Life Lines Element pack, Redwork Pack, Winter Peony Pack, Fine Line Twists No.1, Artistry de Blanco Pack, Times Up Brushes and STamps No.1, Inked Banners Brushes and STamps No1, Carte Post Pack, Garden Stakes: Words, Holiday Cheer Kit, Layer Works No. 136, Layer Works No 378, Winter Hand Drawn Brushes, Everyday Sentiment Strips Brushes and Stamps.
Heather’s wonderful page documents a favorite moment from last winter as her daughter learned that maybe snow isn’t all that bad after all.

Last we have a gorgeous page by Merrilee. Merr features some beautiful photos of the animals and birds who visit her yard during the long winter months. She tells us they give her much pleasure while watching from her window and a reason to keep her camera handy.
Merrilee’s supply list includes: Layer Works No 387, with additions and substitutions using Frosted Fun Add On Paper, Winter Flair No1, Sewn Statements No3, Almost There Kit, Wooden Alphabet No 12, Vintage Flash Cards: Love No 2, Frosted Winter Kit, and Clean Stitched Borders No.1
I hope these pages have helped to inspire you to scrap about your own winter favorites and that you’ll share them in the 3 Scrappers Gallery. We have a few freebies to get you started (thank you, Katie). Remember, if you use all DD product on your page it qualifies for the rewards program so be sure and post a link to your page in the January Challenge Thread as well to get proper credit.
